About Me
People ask me why I want to do this work.
The fact of the matter is...you don't choose death work, death work chooses you.
In 2009, I lost my beloved Aunt Beth to ovarian cancer. It was then that I realized how overwhelming and debilitating grief can be.
Later, I supported a close friend after the unexpected loss of her husband. As we navigated her new world together, I realized this was the work I was meant to do.
There's a lot more to it than that, but let's save it for another time.

Tracia Kraemer

Just weeks after this picture was taken, Aunt Beth began her season of active dying.
In her life, Beth was mentored by an Italian master carver named Vero Puccio. Vero (meaning truth in Latin) is the inspiration for the company name...Vero Via, the true path, and a little nod to Aunt Beth.
